Sturdy and reliable—your fence posts for secure gabion support

Want to set up your tall, slender gabions securely and prevent them from tipping over? Our sturdy fence posts made of hot-dip galvanized steel ensure a firm footing and lasting stability—whether in the garden, along the driveway, or as a decorative gabion wall.

The posts are made of 2-mm-thick square tubing with a cross-section of 4 × 4 cm. This makes them a perfect fit for our gabions with a 5 × 5 cm mesh size. The top end is fitted with a plastic end cap, while the bottom end remains open to allow for secure anchoring in the ground.

Easy installation – flexible for use with a foundation or ground anchors

The length of the post should be appropriate for the height of your gabion and the soil conditions. Choose a post that can be set in concrete to a depth of 60–80 cm in a frost-free zone. The visible portion should then be about two-thirds of the gabion’s height.
If a foundation is already in place, you can alternatively secure the posts with our matching post shoes using dowels—without having to set them in concrete at all.

Secure stabilization—without additional fasteners

Once in place, simply position the gabions over the posts. No additional fastening is necessary: Filling them with stones completely covers the posts and wedges them securely in place. This ensures that your gabion remains stable and visually appealing for years to come.

Tip for Finding the Right Number

We recommend two posts per running meter of gabion. For individual elements, at least two posts should also be used to ensure maximum stability.
